One man has been critically injured in a shooting this afternoon at Ramona Park at around 3:15 p.m. A manhunt for a suspect is underway.
The location is at 14300 Pontlavoy in Norwalk. The victim is a male Hispanic, age 18, and was airlifted to County USC Hospital.
Captain Patrick Maxwell said it appears the the victim is in “very critical condition.”
Containment set up covering 6 square blocks area and a K9 office is being deployed to the location.
Sgt. Corrales told Los Cerritos Community Newspaper that the suspect is believed to still be in the immediate area.

Gang area .. I worked there as a voting volunteer and the janitor quit because of the area problems ..at the near by school .. Instead of the
car wash going in ..the city should build an
extended public safety office .. I remember Jesse
remarked in the past of the problems in that area
he was the former Norwalk Council member ..
A public safety office is a great idea ,I am now regreting buying my house in that neighbor hood .
