70 year old victim on Placid Drive had ‘traumatic injuries’ to upper torso; Investigation continues by LA County Sheriff Homicide

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a 70-year-old man that occurred in the 13900 block of Placid Drive in Whittier on Friday.

On Saturday morning, members of the media were told that an investigation is ongoing, and the initial report about the incident has “been amended” as to the victim’s cause of death. “It is unknown at this time,” officials told the Los Cerritos Community News.

The deceased man was found in a vehicle parked on the street and he apparently had “traumatic injuries to his upper torso caused by an unknown object.”

There is no further information at this time.
