Los Angeles police have arrested a man identified as 38-year-old Nathan Campbell on murder charges after officials say he intentionally drove his car into a crowd to “inflict bodily harm” on a packed Venice Boardwalk on Saturday night.
Campbell turned himself into authorities on Saturday night at around 6 p.m. He is being held on a $1 million bail.
As a result of the incident, one person has died from their injuries and at least 11 others were injured.
In his arrest booking information, obtained by Hews Media Group – Community News, Campbell apparently celebrated his birthday on August 1, just two days before the crime took place. Campbell is listed at 5 foot 11 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds with brown hair, and brown eyes. He was arrested by the LAPD Pacific Division, and his legal name is listed as “Nathan Louis Campbell.”
No arraignment date has been scheduled as of Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
