Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) Norwalk Sheriff’s Station, are seeking the public’s help in locating the driver of a car who left the scene of a fatal traffic collision.
On Saturday, July 26, 2014, at approximately 1:00 A.M., a woman was crossing Hopland Street, just east of Elaine Avenue, when she was struck by a car.
The car is described as a white, Chevrolet Impala, possibly 2000-2010 model. The car’s rear window was broken out during the incident and minor front end collision damage was also sustained.
The car is believed to frequent the Hawthorne and Inglewood areas.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
