A standoff in Carson between a man who shot a family member has come to an end Saturday night at a town home he shares with his parents, Los Cerritos Community Newspaper can confirm.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the initial shooting in the 40 block of Camelback Avenue South at 12:50 p.m. on Saturday.
Throughout the day, the barricaded armed male suspect continued to “resist verbal orders” and that shots have been fired at the Sheriff’s Special Weapons Team Deputies. Captain Mike Parker, of the LASD Media Division, said that family members reported that the suspect had assaulted them after a family dispute. The location of the standoff was at a large condo complex called Scottsdale Estates.
The name of the suspect has not been released by law enforcement.
