Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding a Fullerton Police Department officer-involved shooting near Palo Verde Avenue and Artesia Boulevard in Bellflower early Tuesday morning.

The suspect who was pronounced dead at the scene was identified as 25-year-old Christopher Shull, Anaheim resident. The investigation is continuing, according to a statement released to the media.

According to reports, Shull was shot and killed after he attempted to “run over several officers” at the end a pursuit that began in Fullerton early Tuesday that ended at the end of a quiet residential cul-da-sac.

The pursuit began in Fullerton after police officers there noticed that Shull was apparently “driving erratically” near Raymond Avenue and Orangethorpe Avenue.

Several news agencies are reporting that five officers were involved in the pursuit, two from the Fullerton Police Department and three from the La Palma Police Department.

No officers were injured in the incident.

Fullerton PD are trigger happy! La Palma PD did not fire a single shot? The situation could of been handled differently if Fullerton PD did not have a itch on their fingers! RIP Chris!
