Man shot while travelling on Metro Blue Line in Long Beach on Monday night

Details are emerging regarding a shooting that took place on the Metro Blue Line on Monday night in Long Beach.

In a statement to member of the media, it was confirmed that at approximately 6:16 P.M., a 19-year old male was shot while traveling on the southbound Metro Blue Line at 5th Street and Long Beach Boulevard in Long Beach.

According to a spokesman with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, three to four male Black suspects were last seen running eastbound on 6th Street.  The victim is in stable condition.

The reason for the shooting is unknown at this time.
