Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives are continuing their investigation into the shooting death one man and the stabbing of another in the unincorporated area of Torrance.
The victim had been attending a punk-rock concert when a fight broke out. The fight spilled out into the parking lot and at some point, the victim was shot by an unknown assailant. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The attack took place at the 800 Block of West Torrance Boulevard.
A second male victim was stabbed during the fight and was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. These two incidents of violence are likely separate crimes occurring at the same venue.
Each incident is believed to involve a separate suspect.

This is some shoddy reporting, at best. If you’re going to tell a story, make sure it is factually correct. The incident in question occurred at a location on W. Torrance Boulevard, which is located in unincorporated area of Torrance, but not in West Torrance.
West Torrance is wholly and fully in the City of Torrance proper and is abuts the City of Redondo Beach at Prospect Avenue. I sincerely doubt that a punk rock concert would have ever been able to be held in this very well-to-do area of Torrance.
Come on people at the Hews Media Group! Apply the same level of investigative reporting into this story that you do for all of the crooked ass politicians that you cover.
