Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the shooting death that occurred at approximately 11:50 AM in the 1000 block of Peck Street, Compton, on Saturday.
Detectives have learned that deputies responded to the area regarding a call for service reporting “shots fired.” Upon their arrival they found a male adult victim in a vehicle who was unresponsive and had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives believe the shooting to be gang-related. There is no further information at this time.
