THIS IS LIVE BREAKING NEWS REGARDING CHRISTOPHER DORNER:

Police and Federal Marshalls are converging on a cabin in the Big Bear area looking for Irvine murder suspect Chris Dorner.

Reports confirmed that multiple shots were fired from the cabin at law enforcement officers.

Riverside County Sheriff’s officials are reporting that Dorner stole a 2008 white dodge pick up truck.

Dorner was apparently involved in a “shoot out” with Fish and Game Officials.

Residents in area are reporting increased presence in law enforcement and Marshalls “driving with lights blaring toward the cabin.”

1:27 p.m.: Gun fire can be heard off of Highway 38.

1:28 pm: Police scanners are reporting that two officers have been shot and are “down.”

1:31: CBS News is reporting that Dorner is “heavily armed” and that he may have at least 30 rounds of ammunition.

1:32: KCAL 9 News and CBS 2 Reporter Carter Evans is reporting live from the scene and is literally in the middle of the gun fire.

1:34: A massive gun battle continues to unfold, and can be heard by Reporter Carter Evan’s.

1:36 : Law enforcement officials are telling CBS 2/KCAL 9 Reporter to “get the F***” out of the way as gun fire continues.

1:38:  The area around Glass Road and Highway 38 is the location where the shoot out is currently taking place.

1:46:  Gun fire has ceased for the past six minutes.

1:48: KCAL 9 is reporting that the area of the shoot out is at 7 Oaks Road.

1:50: Two officers have been “hit” by gun fire.

2:01 p.m.: CBS2/KCAL is reporting that “no gun fire” has been heard in the past few minutes. LCCN is linking a live feed from CBS2/KCAL9.

2:03 p.m.: Area of shootout is located around 20 miles from Big Bear City.

2:05 p.m.: Several network television news crews have converged on Sharon Drive in La Palma where Christopher Dorner resides in La Palma.

2:15 p.m.: Police scanner traffic has “gone silent” for the past 13 minutes.

2:19 p.m.: Highway 38 has been closed around 18 miles from the location of the shoot out, NBC LA is reporting.

2:20 p.m.: Media members are being asked to leave the immediate area from law enforcement officials.

3:51 p.m.:   Here is a summary what what has taken place this afternoon regarding La Palma resident Christopher Dorner.   Massive gun fire has been exchanged between law enforcement officials and someone believed to be Dorner.  Two deputies were hit. The deputies are being rescued from by Jenks Lake Road East off Highway 38. Medical personnel are standing by.   Reports are that Fish and Game personnel assisting in the search came across Dorner and attempted to stop him. He fired at the wardens, but they weren’t hit. Dorner allegedly fled and law enforcement swarmed the scene. That’s when gunfire was exchanged between Dorner and deputies, with two being hit.

3:56: The area where Dorner is apparently located is in the “Seven Oaks” area, which is not in the City of Big Bear.

Highways leading into Big Bear are closed at this time and schools on the east end, including Fallsvale Elementary School in Forest Falls, are on lockdown.

4:00 p.m.:  The Los Angeles Times is reporting that one San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputy died of wounds suffered during a shootout with murder suspect Christopher Dorner in the Seven Oaks area.

4:35 p.m.: Law enforcement officials are confirming that one of the two officers shot earlier in the afternoon has died from his wounds.

4:38  p.m. This is BREAKING NEWS FROM LOS CERRITOS COMMUNITY NEWSPAPER.  The cabin where wanted fugitive Christopher Dorner is located in the San Bernardino Mountain has caught fire several media sources are beginning to report. At least three canisters of tear gas have been fired at the location.

4:40 p.m.: Fire trucks have converged at the burning cabin location.  The cabin is this totally engulfed in flames.

4:49 p.m.: ABC News has preempted it’s national coverage and are broadcasting live about the situation.
