Gay marriages in California will begin immediately after the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals cleared the way by lifting an injunction which ordered state officials to stop enforcing Proposition 8.
In a one sentence statement the court ruling was as follows:
“The stay in the above matter is dissolved effective immediately.”
