JEFFREY CONDREY: La Puente Construction Worker Sets House On Fire, Ends Up In Hand Cuffs

(La Puente, CA)  At approximately 12:25 PM, Thursday, July 11, 2013, deputies from Industry Sheriff’s Station, responded to a call of a fire in the 500 block of North Sandspring Drive, La Puente.

As the fire was being extinguished, 36 year-old Jeffrey Condrey of La Puente ran from the home. He was quickly detained by deputies and subsequently transported to a local hospital to be treated for injuries sustained from the fire. While at the hospital Suspect Condrey attempted to escape, but was again detained by deputies.

Detectives from the Arson/Explosives Detail responded and determined the cause of the fire to be arson and have estimated $75,000 to $100,000 damage to the home.

The investigation has revealed that Suspect Condrey was at the home to conduct cabinet construction. At some point for reasons unknown, he became distraught and set fire to the home.

Suspect Condrey is expected to be booked and charged with Arson to a Structure and Attempted Escape; however, he is still at the hospital receiving treatment for his injuries. Once he is cleared by medical personnel, he will be booked into a custody facility by deputies.

There is no further information at this time and the investigation continues.

Jeffery was going through a mental crisis so the judge gave him 25 years and I think that sentence was heartless it is a shame how people with mental issues are treated by the court system, I no Jeffery Condrey personally he is a very good person and never should of been put in prison the family did not want charges brought on him they owned the house so it never should of been in court and maybe a hospital for mental treatment but he got no treatment at all on this matter , I just needed to set the record straight but thank you for all your help no wonder everything is turning to shit thank you very much enjoy your life
