Hews Media Group – Community Newspapers would like to congratulate PIH Health based in Whittier for being presented with a 2013 Truven Health Analytics 100 Top Hospitals Award at the 20th annual 100 Top Hospitals Summit in Washington, D.C.
The award was presented by Mike Boswood, Truven Health Analytics president and CEO, during the annual gathering for hospital executives whose facilities are current or past 100 Top Hospitals program award winners.
The Truven Health 100 Top Hospitals program is an annual study that evaluates hospital performance across a range of objective variables, such as mortality rates, complications, patient length of stay, and adherence to core measures.
The 100 Top Hospitals program produces three studies each year: 100 Top Hospitals, 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals; and 15 Top Health Systems.
“PIH Health is honored to have been named a 100 Top Hospitals recipient,” said Judy Pugach, vice president Quality/Risk Management at PIH Health. “We take great pride in providing high-quality healthcare by always putting our patients first – their safety, well-being, and medical conditions are always our primary concern.”
