A wanted murder suspect is being sought throughout Southeast Los Angeles County for a crime that was committed in the city of Huntington Park more than one year ago.
The Huntington Park Police Department sent out a bulletin on Wednesday to members of the media regarding at-large suspect Miguel Ruiz who is suspected of being involved a murder that took place back on Saturday, March 31st, 2012.
During the stabbing a Huntington Park resident Hector Reyes died from complications he sustained at the scene.
HP Police officials told Hews Media Group – Community Newspaper that the unnamed victim was rushed to the hospital where he later succumbed from his wounds. Ruiz is thought to be in hiding.
Ruiz is described as a male Hispanic, age 26. His appearance has been described as having black hair, brown eyes, and weighing 180 lbs., with a medium complexion, while standing 5’-08” in height.
Huntington Park Police officials also believe that Ruiz goes by various other names including Miguel Angel Tiburcio, Miguel Jimenez, or “Brian.” A warrant was issued for his arrest after Huntington Park Detectives filed the case against Ruiz with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. He is wanted on a $1,000.000 arrest warrant.
