Police Pursuit Ends in Hawaiian Gardens, Suspect Escapes, Neighborhood on Lockdown

Wednesday, September 11, 1:00 p.m.

A 30 minute police pursuit terminated at 224 St. and Norwalk at around 11:10 p.m. tonight. Police said it was a stolen vehicle and reported that it could have been a carjacking. The suspect is on the loose and the neighborhood is on lock down, police believe the suspect is in one of the homes near the abandoned vehicle.

Thanks for the updates. We heard the choppers for a LONG time and their announcements to stay inside and LOCK our doors. No radio or TV news covered it so we had to call the Sheriff’s office on the non emergency line to get any answers. Sure was an eye opener about crime in our city. But for our area in HG it is to be expected and not really unusual.

I fully embrace the 2nd amendment and was ready to defend my family and home! No matter how Linda Sanchez, Babbles Boxer, or Dianne Frankenstein feel!
