After several verbal attempts to persuade the suspect to surrender, a Special Weapons Team entered the business location and found the suspect deceased apparently by his own hand.
No deputies or citizens were injured.

Members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Special Weapons Team have responded to the 2600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, to assist Crescenta Valley Station personnel regarding a barricaded suspect.
The suspect had just committed a robbery at a nearby business while armed with a gun at around 4 p.m. on “Black Friday.”
The public is being urged to remain away from the location.
