Man shot, killed in Norwalk liquor store parking lot identified as Christian Rodriguez, 49

A man was shot and died from injuries he sustained while he was sitting in his car in a parking lot of a liquor store in Norwalk this past Sunday night.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives responded to the 12500 block of Rosecrans Avenue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of Christian Rodriguez, 45.

Rodriguez was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Deputy Kim Manatt of the Sheriff’s Headquarters Bureau, members of the Norwalk Sheriff’s Department responded to the location at approximately 11:04 p.m.

When Deputies from the Norwalk Sheriff’s Station arrived at the scene, they were flagged down by local residents of the area who reporting they heard “shots being fired in the area.”

While searching the area, deputies found Rodriguez sitting in the driver’s seat of a car, who had been shot and unknown amount of times.

Hews Media Group-Community Newspapers was told from a source familiar with the investigation that three men were seen walking in the area either before or shortly after the shooting took place.

No arrests have been made as of Tuesday afternoon.
