Norwalk High School Football Team to be Honored on Tuesday at City Hall

Tuesday is being proclaimed as Norwalk High School Lancer Football Day and the entire community is invited to Norwalk City Hall for the big celebration huge celebration.

According to Jeff Hobbs, Public Information Officer for the City of Norwalk, Mayor Luigi Vernola and the entire city council will be hailing the CIF Champion Runner-Up Norwalk High School football team for winning the Suburban League title, “and for the team’s magnificent performance in the CIF title game against La Serna, which has been called one of the greatest games in high school football history.”

The Lancers lost in double overtime. in that heartbreaking game.

 All residents and businesses in Norwalk are invited to meet and greet the student athletes and enjoy a free pizza dinner in the courtyard at City Hall, 12400 Civic Center Drive in Norwalk.

Complimentary pizza & sodas will be provided as a donation courtesy of So. Cal Pizza of Norwalk, a proud supporter of Lancer football.

So. Cal Pizza is also offering all Norwalk residents who are Lancer fans a free slice of cheese pizza on Tuesday, 12/17 from 11am to 9pm.  No purchase necessary.

 

Guests are also invited to write a message to the team in a special Lancer Memory Book.

 Following the reception, the team will be recognized at the regular City Council meeting when council members will issue a proclamation declaring December 17th as “Lancer Football Day” in Norwalk.
