A Pico Rivera man has died after apparently being stabbed inside of his family home on Saturday. In addition the victims teenage son as well as the family car are missing according to members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Neighbors are telling members of the media that the victim is Sergio Gutierrez, age 50.

The fatal stabbing took place around 1:30 a.m.

The victims son, 17-year-old Sergio Anthony Gutierrez is being sought by law enforcement officials as a “person of interest.”

The family car is described as a silver, 200 Infiniti with a California license plate of 4MAB667 is also being sought by law enforcement officials.

The home where the murder took place is an upscale a gated community in Pico Rivera and is located on the 3700 block of Oaklawn Lane.

The victim died at a local hospital around an hour after the stabbing took place, HMG-CN has been told.

If you see the missing car, please contact 911 as soon as possible.

Members of the media were informed about the situation literally within hours after the stabbing took place. More details to follow.

      Good question. Not sure….but I did find a Facebook Profile that matches his name. I am sure we will get additional details from law enforcement real soon. Perhaps, someone who knows more about the family can leave a comment below. All comments can be left and I will be reviewing them before posting…..
