The Los Angeles County Professional Peace Officers Association (PPOA) will host the 3rd Annual Heroes Ride on Sunday, April 12th to raise crucial support for the families of fallen officers and wounded veterans.
The Heroes Ride (approximately 150 riders anticipated) will depart Hollywood Bowl at 9:30 a.m. for an escorted ride down the Sunset Strip en route to Los Angeles National Cemetery for a veterans memorial ceremony. The ride will then continue to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Academy (Biscailuz Training Center) in East Los Angeles for a finish line reception. Excellent photo opportunities throughout ride route. “California lost 13 officers in the line of duty last year — more than any other state,” said PPOA President Brian Moriguchi. “This event helps us raise crucial support and awareness for the families of officers and military vets who sacrifice life and limb to keep Americans safe.”
PPOA represents 8,700 law enforcement professionals, including Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department employees, both sworn and non-sworn. Contact Brian Moriguchi at (323) 261-3010 or [email protected] for further comment.
