HAWAIIAN GARDENS – Authorities today released the name of a 49-year-old man who was shot to death in Hawaiian Gardens, but sheriff’s detectives have no motive for the killing or suspect information.
Eugenio Soto-Palomares was found about 9:20 a.m. Sunday in the 12200 block of 224th Street and pronounced dead at the scene, said coroner Assistant Chief Ed Winter.
Deputies responded to the location on an assault with a deadly weapon call found the victim “sitting in the driver’s seat of a green compact car, suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body,” said Deputy Juanita Navarro- Suarez of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
Family members told reporters that Soto-Palomares was a married father of three grown children.
