Dedication plaque next to area where park bench was removed. Residents told LCCN the bench was stolen, Councilman Frank Yokoyama saw the post on LCCN, investigated, and learned the benches are getting repaired and refurbished.
Deep inside the park, ( Cerritos section) there are numerous benches and picnic tables, were stolen a few years ago, and they have not been replaced. They are not sent out to be refurbished. Thieves just made off with those and the budget has never replace them.
Lot of the picnic benches are used for sleeping bunks for homeless wares.
