On Tuesday, April 2, 2013, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Cerritos Sheriff’s Station and the Los Angeles County Fire Department are conducting an active shooter response drill at Gahr High School located at 11111 Artesia Boulevard in the city of Cerritos.
The drill will take place between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M..
The event will involve administrators, teachers, students, and parents from Gahr High School. In addition, Cerritos Station Volunteers and members of the Cerritos Station Clergy Council will participate.
The drill will be closed to the public.
This training will simulate a shooting at the high school where deputies and fire personnel will respond and take simulated action. The training will incorporate gunfire and explosions. There will also be simulated injuries to role players at the school.
