UPDATE: Three Murders on Sunday Connected to Same Suspect; Manhunt Underway in LA

The Los Angeles Police Department Robbery Homicide Division detectives along with Los Angeles Sheriff Department Homicide detectives are continuing to investigate the below three crimes, that have led Detectives to believe that they are all linked.

Correction: There were 5 victims on the 1400 block of Celis Street. Three suffered gunshot wounds, another victim was gravely injured and another died at the scene from the injuries sustained.

The victim at the 12900 block of Filmore Street was a Female Hispanic approximately 50 years of age.

The suspect vehicle is a gold or tan SUV. Suspects were described as two male Hispanics with no further information.

Los Angeles:  Los Angeles Police Department believes that three incidents that occurred on Sunday morning in the San Fernando Valley may be related. Robbery Homicide Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the identification and arrest of the suspect(s) involved in these incidents.

On August 24, 2014, around 5:50 a.m., San Fernando Police Department officers responded to a shooting investigation at the 1400 block of Celis Street.  Upon arrival, officers found three victims suffering from gunshot wounds. A 20 year-old female died at the scene.

On August 24, 2014 around 6:35 a.m., Mission Division officers responded to a call from LAFD Station #91 who heard gunfire. Upon arrival at the 13000 block of Borden Avenue (Sylmar Recreational Center), officers found the victim a Male Hispanic between 25 and 35 years old with a gunshot wound. On August 24, 2014, around 6:45 a.m. Foothill Division officers responded to the 1200 block of Fillmore Street and found the body of an African American Female, who had died from a gunshot wound to the head.

The suspect vehicle is described as a tan (light colored) SUV with tinted windows. There is no further description of the suspect(s).
