HMG-CN wishes all the candidates the best of luck!
Not only were the votes of East Lakewood eroded by dividing them into 4 Trustee areas, but the old and those lacking transportation were disenfranchised by the location of the polling places.
ABC election, did we even see 1% voter turnout? When will the governor start combining all statewide elections to save tax payers millions million of waster money on these too small elections. One election every 2 or 4 yrs is ample and stop these petty elections of nothing but social vying of personalities.
We spent the weekend vomiting in the toilet, after seeing our elected Don Knabe (supervisor), endorsements in full page print. What next, or pets endorsing certain species of cows, for dog food!
Senor housing is only being used for political placement cards, these areas ( E Lakewood-Cerritos, etc) no more favor seniors, then society loves vets and the homeless camps. Councils have no love for seniors, except when donations for vying parties help pad the PL statements.
Brian, thanks for live coverage, piss on Chambers of Commerce, for do nothing layer of city fat and lard for their non-political contribution to this election.
Who in the hell drew up the district lines for voting, they must have been related to the forefathers who drafted the traffic circle in Long Beach.
I’ve never seen such jagged boundary lines , compared to this school board election. We thought voting for Bellflower School Board was crazy, this tops them all.
One side of the street belongs to one district, the other side of the street belongs to another district. Informal district boundary lines, help created this vying chaos election, no one knew where their district was, plus received voting ballots days before the election, not the usual month.
City-clerk was dumbest, knew nothing and referred calls to Norwalk Hall of Records; or ABC administration hotline, which neither returned calls.
Thank you Hews News. I was interested in a few local elections and your charts were easier to retrieve and read than the registrar of voters site. I also agree with most of your readers on the district’s being skewed to favor certain parties. Virginia from South Gate
