South East Los Angeles County Members of Congress have reacted swiftly to Monday’s ruling regarding Arizona’s controversial law on illegal immigration.
The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that three out of four key provisions of Arizona’s SB 1070 law were unconstitutional.
Norwalk Congresswoman Grace F. Napolitano told Los Cerritos Community Newspaper in an interview on Monday afternoon that she was “angry” over the ruling. “We live in a land of immigrants. I can’t imagine what is going to happen in the future, this is madness.”
Napolitano said that the ruling will also “damage small business owners.” The veteran Congresswoman said that the ruling “promotes xenophobia.”
“Law enforcement can now target anyone they choose, regardless of your skin color,” Napolitano said.
Napolitano also told LCCN that she “commended” President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder for their “leadership on behalf of all Americans.”
Lakewood Congresswoman Linda T. Sanchez told Los Cerritos Community Newspaper: “I have always believed Arizona’s law was unconstitutional, and I am pleased that the Supreme Court rejected most of the key provisions of SB 1070. However, I am troubled that the Court voted to uphold the requirement that local law enforcement check the immigration status of anyone they feel might be in this country illegally. This misguided provision will lead to racial profiling and discrimination, which violate our country’s values.
Pure libtard balderdash hogwash by two of the worst far far left radical dem-wit politicians in congress! “What is going to happen to small business owners?” And.. “Law enforcement can target anyone they choose..” I highly doubt that..
Now the libs are going crazy because the Constitution may actually be enforced after their godlike emperor lord Caesar Obamacus continues to enforce ONLY laws he likes and non others. Now these two morons don’t like it.. Hey Linda you don’t pick and choose which laws to obey or enforce.. to do otherwise is ANARCHY (kinda like we are headed for now)…
