The lifeless body of a adult male has been found in a concrete slab in Santa Fe Springs, Whittier Police officials confirmed on Wednesday.
“On December 30th the Whittier Police Department receive information regarding a possible homicide victim who was encased in newly poured concrete inside of a business in Santa Fe Springs,” a statement from the Whittier PD declared.
Whittier Police Detectives initiated an investigation, which led them to a business in the 12400 block of Los Nietos road in Santa Fe Springs, an industrial area.
Detectives were able to locate a person of interest, and further information led them to a nearby business in the 9400 block of John Street in Santa Fe Springs.
With the assistance of the Los Angeles Coroner’s Office, the area in question was examined, excavated, and the body of a male adult victim was recovered.
Detectives are in the process of identifying the victim. It appears preliminary that the crime was a result of a feud between the victim and the suspect. Juan Alberto Galviz (1-14-77) has been arrested in connection with this homicide.
