Jailed Los Angeles County Assessor John Noguez is expected to be released on bail tomorrow after he makes an appearance in a Downtown Los Angeles Superior court, Los Cerritos Community Newspaper has learned.

LCCN spoke to a key member of  Assessor Noguez legal defense team late Sunday night and again on Monday morning  who said “we have enough money to post the bond, and if everything goes as planned, John should be out of jail on Tuesday.”

The source told Los Cerritos Community Newspaper that a series of “complex legal maneuvers” will be presented on Tuesday morning in court by both attorneys representing Noguez as well as members of the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

Noguez is the primary figure in a complex case that revolves around accepting bribes and campaign contributions in exchange for having hundreds of multi-million dollar properties devalued throughout Los Angeles County.

Noguez, Property Tax Agent Ramin Salari, and Mark McNeil were arrested back on October 17, 2012 on dozens of felony counts of accepting bribes, forgery and influence peddling.

Los Cerritos Community Newspaper has been told that Noguez is “in good spirits” and is “looking forward to getting out of jail so he can dedicate his efforts to proving his innocence.”

LCCN will have more details on this situation throughout Monday and Tuesday.
