Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) West Bureau homicide detectives have arrested three men who were responsible for the murder of a 23-year-old woman in Hollywood.
On Tuesday, June 18, 2013, around 8:30 p.m., LAPD Hollywood Area patrol officers responded to a stabbing call in the area of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue. When they arrived, they discovered a female suffering from apparent stab wounds. LAFD paramedics transported the victim, a 23-year-old female, to a local hospital where she died during surgery.
The detectives’ investigation revealed the victim was with a friend walking in the area when they saw three men who were holding signs and panhandling. The victim and her friend took photos of the men with their cell phones as they were holding their signs. A dispute ensued, and ultimately the victim was stabbed in the torso. The suspects were described as three male whites in their late 20s to early 30s.
The suspects were located near the scene, arrested and are now in the custody of West Bureau homicide detectives. The victim’s identity is being withheld until her immediate family is notified.
