Los Angeles Zimmerman Protests Results In 10 Being Charged

One adult and nine juveniles have been charged following protests in Los Angeles on July 13 and in Hollywood on July 16, the District Attorney’s Office announced.
A 28-year-old Los Angeles man, Shareef Abdullah, was charged with attempted grand theft, robbery and making criminal threats when he allegedly tried to steal TV cameras belonging to two news crews covering demonstrations on July 13. Abdullah allegedly tried to steal a $7,000 camera belonging to Telemundo before being chased away. He returned later, grabbed the camera and ran. A TV cameraman chased him and managed to get the camera back.
Later the same night, Abdullah allegedly approached a CBS news crew and threatened to shoot a TV cameraman if he didn’t give him their camera. Abdullah allegedly fled with the equipment.
He was arrested July 16 by Los Angeles Police Department officers.
Abdullah, who pleaded not guilty on July 18, returns to court July 30 for a preliminary hearing at the Foltz Criminal Justice Center, Department 33. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in state prison.
Nine juveniles who were allegedly part of a flash mob at Hollywood and Highland have been charged with robbery. Three females and two males – all 16 — and four 15-year-old males were charged with robbing pedestrians of cell phones, a wallet and a skateboard. Police believe the rampage was sparked by messages on social media sites.
All nine juveniles, whose names are being withheld because of their ages, pleaded not guilty on July 19. Four were released to their parents. Five remain detained. All return to court in August.

Shareef Abdullah? This is not a resident of San Fernando Valley (LOL) The video shows a LOT looking like common street thugs from South Central & East LA! They are NOT residents of Newport Beach or Balboa… ‘Nuff said on that one!
