Medicare, Medi-Cal, Home Repair Workshops to Assist Norwalk Seniors

The Norwalk Senior Center will be hosting an enlightening presentation about the changes that will occur for seniors enrolled in Medi-Cal or Medicare on January 23, 2014 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The Center for Health Care Rights will be sponsoring this event to make sure everyone understands the adjustments in his or her medical care. The Center for Health Care Rights is a non-profit organization that was created in 1997 to support and educate for Medicare. The beneficial, non-profit organization also does its best to provide the best rights and protections to Medicare’s customers. The presentation will be offered in both English and Spanish and is open to seniors age 50 and older. The Norwalk Senior Center located at 14040 San Antonio Drive, Norwalk, CA 90650. Norwalk’s Community Development Department will be taking part of an event to assist senior homeowners to apply for the Home Repair on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 from 10 to 11 a.m. The Community Development Department leads and takes part of every step in the advancement of their city. The Community Development Department has six different sections: Planning, Engineering, Building and Safety, Property Maintenance, Housing Authority, and Community Development Block Grant, to make sure everything is safe and in good shape. To stay true to its mission, the department will aid the development of senior homes in Norwalk through the Home Repair program to make sure everyone is protected. The Community Development Department representatives will be coming to the Norwalk Senior Center at 14040 San Antonio Drive, Norwalk, CA 90650.
