Cerritos Sheriff’s Station, Tactics and Survival training personnel, Special Enforcement Bureau; Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Los Angeles County Fire Department, and Cerritos High School staff will conduct an active shooter response drill at Cerritos High School Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 9:30 a.m.
The event will involve a rapid response by deputy personnel and practical application triage by the Los Angeles County Fire Department. This training will simulate a shooting on the school campus where police and fire personnel will respond and take simulated action. The training will incorporate simulated gunfire. There will also be simulated injuries and role players.
The Drill will be closed to the public.

Information not released to the public was that minors were used without signed parental permission. Simulation included actual firing of projectiles and at least one student was injured by projectile and taken to local hospital.
